turntable problem

i have a pro-ject audio debut III. yesterday i went to put on a record and realized that had not turned the damn thing off after using it the last time. it was running for 2 or 3 days straight. i tried to play a record on it, and halfway through the first side the motor started shaking. anybody know what's going on? did i screw up my motor by letting it run non-stop for 48-72 hours? how bad do i suck?

    unless you know what you're doing, you'll probably have to take it in...I'm not familiar with that model, but a guess is that it might be the motor mount
