Was listening to this last night, and this record is real good! Interesting story too, Vladimir was born to Russian parents living in Belguim. He moved to Canada, then Boston, and finally to NY where he makes this album for Alegre. He arranged and composed all of the songs with some pretty good musicians, namely Bobby Rodriguez, and Manny Duran. Had vocalists Ismael Quintana and Santitos Colon in there. Really solid record. But whatever happened to the guy? Anybody know if he did more songs or worked on other's albums? He obviously had talent, did he just dissappear?

    The Aquarians LP on UNI?

Also, I seem to remember another spelling of Wladimir, or is that some other dude?

I've always passed on The Aquarians LP, figured it was a one tracker, Jungle Grass, which is on 45 I'm pretty sure. Thanks for the info though, I didn't know he was involved in that recording.

And yes, Wladimir is another person.
