Not sure but the tracklisting looks pure

Could possibly be even better than vol 1.

    Danno, when can we pre-order???

Ha! I ask myself that every day!

I've been trying to get this comp out for over a year now. In part, the delay comes from wanting it to be better than the first, in terms of both presention and research. I spent a lot of time trying to convince a bunch of musicians to sit down for some interviews so I could offer more thorough liner notes. Fortunately, those issues are over.

The other delay comes from starting a corporate gig while still trying to manage the record label demands. It was a little tought at first, but I'm finding a good rhythm.

Here's where we stand: I'm finalising the packaging. When that's done, the good folks at Burlesque will finalise the design. Then I cut a cheque for the guys at Samo Media who I hope will have a couple thousand units ready in 2-3 wks. So, we're looking at maybe one more month before it's ready.

Once again, the comp will be mastered, designed, and manufactured by Strutters. It's a family project! There will be plenty of copies to go around at a special Soul Strut discount!

I want to do vinyl, but it doesn't seem to make economic sense for me. It's too much money upfront. Unless a distributor wants to step up and cover the cost of pressing vinyl, I'm not sure I can be motivated to part with four or five thousand bucks to do it myself. I think I'd rather go on a vaction and buy some records.

    Thanks for your reply, Danno.

I almost knew the answer, but thought I
    should ask anyway.
It's a shame that pressing albums on
    vinyl became almost impossible
    for the small business.

Anyway, I appreciate your effort and love in
    releasing the compilations.
    Good luck!
