Haven't been buying many records lately, so I've been listening to some oldies but goodies... So good. Sublime jazz-funk tunes all the way through. And this middle-eastern oud-playing LP by Fadil Shahin that was given to me in a trade with Jeremy a while back. Mellow out shit.Bonus Been in heavy rotation ever since Harvey hipped me to this.

This is such a good record, you should check out Still Serious as well which continues in the same vein. What with that, the Convicts records, Till Death Do Us Part and Still Serious, Big Mike had an amazing batting record. Been meaning to check out the stuff he's been doing since for a while now.

Had this on repeat on the ipod

    ordering the double vinyl today

Great collection of demos (less polished but more powerful than the stuff that was released), only complaint is it does not include any version of their epic "Young, Fast & Scientific" from the over-produced-but-still-heavy "Manifest Destiny", and too many songs from "Bloodbrothers"

The radio ads included are great, really puts the stuff in the context of it's time. Norton Records does it again.

It's not the classic that Somethin' Serious is but it's certainly got some decent tracks on it.

Divshare's f*cking up at the moment - will put up a couple of tracks when it starts behaving.

Really need to get organised and pick up Hard To Hit as well.

  • That nineties music thread made me pull this out last week, Krush's: Holonic album, and have since been spinning it alot
