Academy BK appreciation

While the rest of Williamsburg seems to be trying its hardest to become the blandest neighborhood in the world, Academy keeps it unpretentious (staff music choices notwithstanding) just pricing records to move. Props to you, I know someone there reads the strut.OK, but maybe please stop writing on the poly sleeves? I don't need "Sealed!" "Prog/Psych" or humorous speech bubbles saying "I like turtles" f*cking up my collection.

    I never knew reissues sold so well. They got a big section of reissues in their Manhattan store too.

    Academy BK is the BEST non-specialty record shop in the whole area.

    everything is usually reasonably priced. the turnover is amazing. the staff is friendly.

    there are cute girls shopping there a lot!

    I got 7 Latin records and a Greek one. Reggae section has been pitiful lately though.

    I like flipping through and going "haha they wrote that on that" but then buying it, it sort of feels like the record store dude is clowning you
