Don't Mess with Bill '89 (marvelettes/ chipmunk R)

this was recorded in 1989 but i thought that high pitched voice was kinda strange. especially because according to the original poster it was supposed to sound like a classic marvelettes recording.. i don't know if they were just playing around or whatever but it sounds misplaced to me..i'm wondering if there are more songs that used pitched voices but otherwise had a more or less "classic" sound? i can't really think of any..
