My sister just emailed me a power point presentation all about plastic bags and how terrible they are for the environment. In it, it mentioned that the city of San Francisco "banned plastic bags" on 27 March 2007.b, 21b, 21Is this true? img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/liljohn.gif" alt="" /1

i don't understand. i get plastic bags in SF all the time. the only places that don't seem to have them are big outlets like Safeway and Trader Joes, but smaller businesses and restaurants always have them. is there a stipulation or are fools just ignoring the ban?

pretty sure it's just grocery stores.

  • NY is supposed to pass a similar law soon. Winter is the worst when the leaves fall and the branches are exposed wrapped in tons of mangled black corner store bags.
