font class="post"1b, 21b, 21yeah he's been around a long time. one of the first sites i ever went to on the 'internet' was soulsides, damn that must have been around 95. i remember because there were about three sites on the whole internet about records, and his was one of them. think the sample faq was the other and this one called vinyl heaven was another, and of course dusty groove too, the first internet purveyors of vinyl. his site was linked to the old luv n haight link page (which had a lot of interesting sites).

Actually Mr. Wang, you have alot to answer for. Back then I was just starting to get my head out of hiphop and into jazz/soul/funk and was trippin' on shit like Roy Ayer's Virgo Red or Lou Donaldson's Cosmos. Then all of a sudden I find this dude on the PC that's tipping me to some mad rare grooves like S.O.U.L and Magnum: Fully Loaded.....though he was slaggin' Lonnie Hewitt (?). All of a sudden BOOOM, into the deep end. Ten years later and I still haven't come up for air.b, 21b, 21 I say Godddddamn the pusher man!
I don't think I've ever met anyone LESS concerned with their "street cred" than Oliver. There are many MANY music journalists who are guilty of trying way too hard to be down. ODub is not among them. That said, this thread has delivered on many levels. I think it should get a sticky and sit at the top of page one.
b, 21You know, as a shop owner... I'll take O-Dub over Kala.
