Buzzing MacBook Fan

The fan on my year-old MacBook starts buzzing like crazy after about 30 minutes of use. b, 21b, 21I asked dude at the Apple store what my options are for replacement (no longer have Apple Care) and he said I'm looking at ~$200 for a new one. That's a bit high, no?b, 21b, 21Has anyone else had this problem?b, 21b, 21What did you do, if anything, about it?

I'm using a href="http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/23049" target="_blank"1Smc Fan Control/a1, it's great for monitoring CPU temperature and using custom fan settings.

b, 21I thought this thread was going to be about drewnice having had a few beers and liking his MacBook. I just got a MacBook in the last few weeks, and I am a MacBook Fan. I am not buzzing however.

The fan cooler probably won't do the trick. It's more a function of me having kept the laptop open and running most nights of the week, d/ling torrents and schitt, taking a major toll on the motor over time.b, 21b, 21So far, looks like the a $50 new fan and DYI installation that prof is linking to might be the way to go.b, 21b, 21b, 21Any other suggestions or experiences with this?
