b, 21b, 21Is it too much ask for us to be able to take risks and make bold forward thinking decisions? That is, without always having some cracker ass 60+ muststachehole always telling us we can't or it's too much work or not possible or that's how we've done it for the past 35 years or I'm scared of new things. Maybe we'll F*ck up too, but we are entitled to do that. b, 21b, 21Get the F*ck off my lawn!

b, 21b, 21b, 21 b, 21b, 21h, 21b, 21b, 21Really? That's all you got? The Boomer generation that brought us Clinton and Bush, years of partisan polarization and gridlock, and then, by almost every measure, is leaving the nation worse off than when they took control. And you want to talk about reading comprehension. OK. Fine. Let's make them take the GRE to become eligible for Medicare.

Let's see...we got to vote in our favorite ethinic name/face (as a slap to the face of racist Boomers) vs. the Boomers just looted us for $1.1 trillion (and even got the approval of our favorite ethnic face/name to boot). b, 21b, 21Looks like, we (still) lose.

  • I guess the boomers had similar gripes about the pre-War generation, but damn.b, 21b, 21The boomers were responsible for some serious advances vis-a-vis the generation that preceded them.b, 21b, 21And Obama won partially on the strength of millions of boomer votes.b, 21b, 21Just saying.

b, 21b, 21You mean post war?b, 21b, 21But they took over just like that because of their sheer numbers. Normally there's a gradual transfer of power, where the new generation is brought into the fold and the older generation fades back. These son's of bitches have not given any indication that they are participatory in such a transfer of power and are resisting every step of the way. I guess they are thinking we are supposed to have some revolution like they did in the late 60s. That ain't gonna happen because it usually does not happen. They were expecting it ten+ years and where already throwing pejorative terms like generation x at us. Meanwhile we're working our asses off in cubicles at shit jobs, with giant student loans and watching dumbfuck Boomers wreck almost every institution in our country. Now they are staying in their corner offices past retirement age with no hint of leaving. Last place I worked, Boomers were literally dying at their desks.b, 21b, 21For me, Obama's Presidency (whether or not he is technically a Baby Boomer) represents the end of that era. And it serves as a BIG signal to to Boomers. That's the change I worked and voted for. There are a lot[/b] of other things, but that's the main thing.

  • Boomers had the world by the balls, were given the silver spoon by their parents and fucked it all up. They hate everything about their parents' world, even the good stuff like modern architecture, pre-hippie music, hip art. Wait'll they start retiring en masse in a few years, you think we're broke now.b, 21b, 21"We blew it."b, 21-- Capt. America

    b, 21b, 21You mean post war?b, 21b, 21b, 21b, 21h, 21b, 21b, 21well the boomers be definition were born post-War; I was referring to their parents. but I don't want to get hung up on the language.
