warped question

I have had to store my records in a garage for a little while in between moves. Anyway yesterday was mad hot and my Edwin Starr got one of those crazy sectional warps on it. The kind where just one little section of the record has risin up but in a bad way. SO the needle will completley jump of the recod when it hits that section of the record. Anyone know if this type of warp is fixable?

In my humble experience, that's exactly the kind of wrap that CAN'T be fixed with the classic glass sandwich and oven method. You would end up with a violent sideways movement of the arm on that portion of the record. Sorry.

I have had good results when the entire record is wraped.

    Hasta luego.

I was actually working on a beat with the section that has a group chanting "Party,Party..." but on a whole I enjoy listening to the entire record.
