I teared up... but was unable to follow through as the well was dry from crying the night before thinking of how proud and blessed to have the kids that I do.

Generally, I am a total pussy and cry at the drop of a hat. But nothing last night. I was in a crowd of people, chasing my kids around so it was hard to focus.b,121b,121His victory speech was so sobering that I really didn't feel like crying.

font class="post"1b,121b,121I was in utter shock when they announced that Obama won, but when he started his speech, I wept uncontrollably.

  • Mr. Cee just played "Say It Loud (I'm Black And I'm Proud)" and I almost lost it again.b,121b,121Children across the street chanting "Obama! Obama!" an hour ago at recess.b,121b,121This is still sinking in. What this means for the next generation is so big. I don't even think we really understand it right now.

it is a total pity that isaac, curtis, marvin and JB are not with us any more to bask in the glory

  • blimey this was obviously a bigger deal to you lot than I realised... but then I've not really seen the news yet so don't really know what the "mood" is...

I usually cry, movies, weddings, tv commercials. But I didn't last night. b,121b,121I was going to canvass yesterday, but was too hyper to pull it together. Instead I ran chores and fixed the gutters. b,121b,121I was making a special dinner listening to the radio when PA, NH and VA (was it VA that was called early?) were called and I knew then that Obama had won. I was still alone cooking when Ohio was called. b,121b,121My wife cried I think at 8:00 when they called CA, and all through the speech. b, 21b, 21Maybe I am in shock. b,121b,121I'll cry in 77 days.
