    yeah true, but if you omit his work in the last 3 years you gotta go back to the early seventies, with the occasional remotely humourous fluke here and there.

    and there's far far far far more banal american comedy out there than british.. it's just a percentage thing, if only 1%* is funny, then by sheer weight of numbers that 1% of american comedy is going to outweight the 10 or 15% of british gear. When you yanks get it right though, you really get it right.b,121b, 21*(72% of all statistics are made up on the spot)
