font class="post"1b,121b,121b,121Yeah, that's what I read too. He's all "SNL hasn't been funny for years" and all kinds of asshurtedness. b,121b,121Is he offended about the animals? It was an impression, and a fairly good one. What's to get salty about? They didn't say he was trying to talk these animals into bed or anything.

font class="post"1b,121b,121It's the animals. Impressions themselves aren't inherently funny, but when put in different contexts they can work. If Samberg's Wahlberg character was giving an interview to Matt Lauer, it would have been lame. But Wahlberg getting fronting on by a goat and them him saying "Say hello to your mother for me" is funny in an absurd way.

Marky Mark's reaction: b,121b,121Someone showed it to me on YouTube. It wasn't like Tina Fey doing Sarah Palin, that's for sure. And "Saturday Night Live" hasn't been funny for a long time. They've asked me to do the show a ton of times. I used to watch it when Eddie Murphy was there and Joe Piscopo and Bill Murray. I don't even know who's on the show now.b,121b,121b,121

Judging by this, how funny would he have been on the show? b,121b,121b,121And in referring to the "golden age" of SNL, he mentions Joe Piscopo? Really? Joe Piscopo?

No joke if you ask Mark Wahlberg about the days when he was Marky Mark & the Funky Bunch he goes ape shit. Similar to the whole Vanilla Ice shit. Both hate people mentioning their past.

  • I like how he mentions Tina Fey doing Palin and then saying that he doesn't know any cast members on the show.b,121FEEL THE VIBRATION! FEEL IT! FEEL IT!

Hate to fly the Wahlberg Apologist flag, but really? The skit was kinda funny. For the past 10-plus years SNL has had a 1:1 ratio of chuckle-worthy to downright terrible. Sure the political spoofs have given it some life, but SNL, much like most of Wahlberg's music and movie career are... b,121b,121

font class="post"1b,121b,12150% is pretty charitable. this show should be 30 minutes long. that's enough for all of the funny material in a single episode, one song, and commercials.b,121b,121witness the explosion in enthusiasm when Fey was doing Palin. it was like on the evening news, wolf blitzer talmbout "SNL was actually funny this week!"b,121b,121pretty sad.
