It has been so well known for so long I doubt there exists a copy still to be found in the wild.b,121It is available on many comps and boots.b,121IMHO there are better records in the same genre for 5 - 50% of Flowers' value; Daybreak 'Everything Man' and We The People 'Making My Daydream Real' spring to mind.b,121b,121People still froth at the mouth for this record.b,121b,121I definitely don't believe Jesse employs shill bidders.b,121b,121The first two bidders can be explained as chancers either looking to make a big gain or wanting to see the final price so they can price their collection.b,121b,121Can't explain the others. Seem like fools. But even relative newbies with 25 or 79 bips should know better than this.b,121b,121Maybe they got more money than sense.

font class="post"1b,121b,121I can easily understand people paying big money for records they cannot live without. Even well over the odds.b,121b,121What I cannot understand is the thought process that leads a dude to bid up a piece with 5+ days to go. Ego trip? Drunken bidding? Mummy's or Daddy's credit card?

font class="post"1b,121b,121Strange because they both presuppose that the person bidding on this record has been collecting and wanted this record for a long time I guess. There are any number of reasons why someone might not have a copy and want one now, whatever the price. b,121b,121As for this auction... this kinda stuff happens all the time. I can't explain the actions of collectros with g's to blow on records cause I'm not one of them.

Here's what's counter-productive about the bidders' actions:b,121b,1211) pushing it to a high price early on alerts all those 'investor' types who search in 'all records' and sort by 'highest price first'. Suddenly you have more competition than is healthy.b,121b,1212) let's assume I really want this record, and the price near the end is a few hundred bucks. I'm ready with the bid, I've checked popsike, I reckon $1600 will do it. In this situation, if $2075 dude waits til the last minute, he stands a good chance of getting the record.b,121By ramping it high now, I have a 5 day window to look at my expedits, decide I can live without various bits and I flog them, raising an extra $1000.b,121Now my last minute bid can be $2600. And I trump 79 star dude, who has revealed his hand by jumping up in few hundred buck stages.b,121b,121Jesse Vallin, I salute you sir.
