  • These billboards are all over London at the moment. I can't help but think he's a sellout, but I suppose he's been flogging the dead horse that is the sex pistols for sometime now, so im not surprised.

Id love for him to cross over to soy products and go "ever get the feeling you've been cheated?"

font class="post"1b,121b,121he knows it, has a sense of humor about it, and is a bit of a dick anyway. He'll do anything to wind up the public, so it's hard to take him too seriously at this point. So he Sold Out To The Man? Yawn, whatever.

font class="post"1b,121b,121b,121They are both buffoons. The main difference is Lydon has shitloads of indie cred, which he's been cruising on for decades.

The boy Rotten is still a god.b,121The advert is superb.b,121Lydon, in tartan neo-bondage pants, on prime time TV advertisement, is about as good as it gets.b,121b,121I buy Dairy Crest from now on.

I always bought Lurpak when I was there.

  • I tuned in to watch him on "im a celebrity get me out of here" just to see him playing a frightened characteur of who he thinks hes supposed to be but clearly is not, it was painful to watch. If he had just made music and kept his mouth shut he would have a lot more respect...."This is not a love song" is still a tune.

on a vaguely similar subject, MR T has done a bunch of ads for snickers that are only for australia and new zealand markets.. it's a tad controversial cos he claimed he would never wear gold again a few years back on some affront to god tip, but he's decked out in rope for the ads. At least MR T did a whole bunch of good shit instead of just exploiting drug addicts.

It's a huge tune indeed.b,121b,121Metal Box not so much, IMHO.b,121b,121Even though he sells out on the regular, you still sense he is having the last laugh.

font class="post"1b,121b,121we get them ads in the UK too.b,121Personally, I haven't touched one of them terds since they changed name from 'Marathon'.b,121b,121And ruined my favourite joke:b,121b,121I entered a Marathon last week. Got chocolate and peanuts all over my cock.

  • I bet if you met him in his house or at his local all relaxed and not doing all his opposite of every crap he would be pretty sound and interesting. but all his silly tomfoolery is just childish.

  • A tad sad but bills must be paid.

I'm suprised the 'racist' attack story with him and the singer from Bloc Party went away so quickly. The logic I suppose being that it happened in Spain where that sort of thing is tolerated.

Johnny is a good example of how mavericks and demons get sanitised and co-opted into the popular mainstream over time, and end up as revered pantomime Dames who will be lauded in their twilight years with accolades and tributes.b,121Denuded and de-clawed, all venom drawn, the vitality and menace of those halcyon days of 76 and 77 now just a distant memory to the greying, paunch-afflicted children of the 60s.b,121b,121Sir John Lydon, I reckon, circa 2020.

I don't mind him, I think he's a chancer with marginal talent who did alright out of the ride. He swore at the right times and looked the part.b,121b,121If he's going to sell out though, he needs to be consistent. No point in going on "I'm a Celeb..." and then not playing the game, then turning round and plugging butter. Like kissing the face you just spat in.b,121b,121That reminds me to clear my browsing history...

b,121Lydon, in tartan neo-bondage pants, on prime time TV advertisement, is so 1980s.
