    Saadiq's album is immaculately produced yet, oddly, kind of sterile. b,121b,121I liked Thicke's album a lot even though some of his uptempo stuff wasn't doing it for me.

    I think all of these albums are really good for different reasons.     I was not feeling NE-Yo for a while but once that Kanye Remix dropped and that Fabo joint + coupled with my girl riding for "Crazy Love" I'm like "oh, he's kinda fresh".b,121b,121 Ne-Yo> Thickeb,121b,121Let's be serious, the only one can really go face-to-face with Saadiq would be Kells and maybe D'Angelo.

    Well I wouldn't say KILL, that's implying that the boy Saadiq doesn't have his share of face melters and putting him with other dudes like "TANK" or some shit. But Kells does win in terms of popularity/chart success. I mean if it was to me I wish Saadiq would put out more pop joints and work with more rap dudes just because he's way beyond the point of being just big with die-hard R&B fans.

    Ne-Yo has had more hit singles than everyone combined in the past several years.b,121b,121He's written a bunch of stuff he didn't sing... dude is very prolific.b,121b,121I like Saadiq but it's kind of apples and oranges... Ne-Yo is going to have a catalog that can compare to any of the soul greats eventually.

Then J-Hud comes out saying there's gonna be no hip-hop on my album, nuh-uh, and my heart sank a little. I do love that 3am-at-the-Saint vibe of "Spotlight", though.
