    correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't one of the reasons for the right to bear arms was so that if the people thought the government was not representing their best interests they could revolt and take the white house back?

    Right now, where I live, it means I can take a weekend class...get my concealed carry permit...and blast any fuckwad that threatens me or my family. wheeee. guns ruleb,121b,121b,121ok but seriously, gun control is for idiots. I own one so I have an advantage if someone enters my house with one.

    font class="post"1b,121b,121I was being over the top for sarcasms sake. I actually DO appreciate both sides of the issue. I just happen to be in favor of owning a firearm. b,121b,121I like shooting recreationaly. I've never been hunting, although I'm probably going to go my first time this year for quail. I'm not your average gun nut, but I do like them and yes I plan on getting my concealed carry permit. I grew up in an "open carry" state which means it's perfectly legal to carry your gun in plain sight. I think the gun laws in California are stupid for more reasons that I can list. b,121b,121I do believe in background checks for firearms, which is something they DON'T do here. That bugs me and is definitely one aspect of the control side I'm fully in agreement with.
