Popsike: who's paying?

So. I bought a pretty large collection and went to use Poopsike and they want me to pay. I tried using a proxy server and it still ask me to pay. Are you grippers paying for this schitt? It's been a couple years since I bought a collection and they didn't ask me for money then. It's hard times here in America and I don't want to give my money to the Swiss (already give the Germans at Rapidshare enough).Seems ghey to me. b,121b,121 img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/WHYMUSTICRY.gif" alt="" /1

I think they only charge if you go over a certain amount of searches. b,121b,121b,121b,121Don't use it much myself. Can you search them through google?

font class="post"1b,121b,121Yeah, but its like 5 or 6 searches.b,121b,121*No, I'm not paying. From what I've been able to gather from other people's comments it seems that popsike lacks accuracy.

  • It's something like $5 a month.b,121b,121Poor guys. How will you price your records?!?!?!?

font class="post"1b,121b,121You're right - guys like me that pay tens of thousands of dollars a year to rent storefronts, pay employees, commercial overhead, and top dollar for rare records should definitely pay for popsike. It's only right.b,121b,121Guys that work regular jobs, buy collections in their spare time to sell on ebay and write off two rooms of their house as "workspace" are already being taxed enough. For god's sake, give some power to the people!

  • Now now. Stop instigating Mark.b,121b,121I don't really care who pays for popsike and who doesn't.b,121b,121It's pretty funny that every few months, someone starts a thread complaining about its miniscule fees because they want to use it for free... other months complaining about its high prices... and the ones in between complaining about the shopkeeps that use it to price records with.b,121b,121img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/postmodern.gif" alt="" /1

font class="post"1b,121b,121I've been that guy, but I broke down and paid.b,121It's a great service IMHO, not perfect, not the "price bible" but quite useful.b,121My only gripe is transparency on how much you can use it before you are required to pay.
