b,121Dude wtf are you going to do? Not vote? Let McCain possibly win? Write in Ron Paul? I mean seriously, this whole thread is ridiculous at this point.

b,121Obama openly and eagerly supporting the banking bail-out trumps any ridiculousness in here by quantum miles.
    b,121
    b,121But y'all seem unfazed...
    b,121
b,121Personally, I was planning to vote for Obama until this bail-out bullshit jumped off.
    b,121
b,121Plus, seeing how anti-critical his supporters are isn't good for anyone.
    b,121
b,121This whole thing is looking more and more like a grand brainwashing.
    b,121
b,121Bad enough fools voted for Kerry as the anti-war candidate last time even though he openly stated in debates that he'd take an even more hawkish stance to end the war in Iraq than Bush's.
    b,121
b,121Now, fools are talking about Obama being for the people and here he is on board with giving elite bankers carte blanch to make idiotic mistakes on the backs of his constituents.
    b,121
b,121Yeah, like I'm going to vote for that absolute weak sauce.1

b,121I'm not gonna turn this into an "EVERYONE ATTACK ARCHAIC" thread, but seriously, even considering all the things you said, you're not even going to vote for the proverbial "lesser of 2 evils"? You'd rather just sit back and let the1chips fall1where they may?1
    b,121
b,121And man, do you really (and I mean
really) believe1that Obama is some kind of Manchurian Candidate/Anti-Christ/government pawn? That's pretty way out even for you.1b,121b,121h,121

b,121Dude is confi using the Obama-avatar campaign with real life fervor. I hate to break it to you, Harv,1but this board is hardly crawling with die-hard politicos, and that includes your ill-informed ass.

b,121Oh I know, all of the incessant presidential race dicussions on here make it obviously clear that y'all are way more interested in Jamaican bobsled racing.
    b,121
b,121And dude, other than saying I shouldn't let one issue deter me...you haven't said shit in here yet about how underhanded and weak it is for Obama to support the bail-out.
    b,121
b,121Again, the banks floated impossible-to-pay loans completely convinced that they could eventually sell them off at a discounted price.1And mind you, they didn't actually loan cash...they loaned reserve representations of cash i.e.1fake money, which made even the discounted rate they could sell the loans off as desirable. But now that noone in their right mind wants to buy their known-from-jump-to-be-junk-loans, we're going to fork over $700 billion in cash to them? For what? So they can pull the same shit again.1Arrest these assholes. Don't protect and reward them.

    b,121
b,121Since1you are so smart Harvey....who are "Them" in this scenario?1Arrest whom exactly? The mortgage broker single mom who works for a predatory lender? How long1before1you are scolding us here for allowing the government to arrest such a solid citizen?1
    b,121
b,121You are right, I haven't said shit about something which I am1not an expert on and am still trying to figure out. I haven't told you my position because this shit is not black and white and right vs. wrong the way you wanna play it to be. Many people lose if the financial system falls apart,1many people who do not deserve vast sums of money may get them if they give them the bail-out. Should they slow this down? I say yes, but others say that will cause more problems. Jesus, can't you pull your head out of your cavernous asshole long1enough to see this is not some either/or shit?1
    b,121
b,121You need to think in deeper terms, not just let all this shit rise out thru your eyeballs. You are a solution to NOTHING.

b,121Oh, so you admit that you don't know shit...but that doesn't stop you from throwing barbs over it. Well, if you did knw shit...you would know full well that this banking situation is indeed cut-and-dry.1A really good friend of mine has an older brother who worked for Enron. He was busted a few years back on a deal1where he made $1 million commission off of a mere $60,000 transaction. He was the first of the Enron employees to go to jail. He's pretty much out now...but the reason1why I bring that up is when Enron was pulling similar funny-money tactics, all you Dem-types were all up in arms about it. But now, since1you have your man standing in for it, y'all are gonna claim ignorance as if you don't know whether manipulating the market to such a degree is a crime.
    b,121
b,121HOW MANY TIMES ARE Y'ALL GOING TO LOOK AWAY OUT OF CONVENIENCE?1
    b,121
b,121I took out a reasonable mortgage and the payments are being kept up on just fine...but now Obama is telling me that I'm supposed to on top of that help pay some other bank that I've1never done business with in order to preserve their right to continue ripping us all off blind?
    b,121
b,121US banks have the highest potential for profit margin of any industry anywhere. They can compound their success exponentially...do y'all even get that? If they failed, even with having that insane advantage over everyone else, F*ck EM!1
    b,121
b,121And it will be better for our economy1in the long1run to have them and their sheisty practices gone.

b,121I didn't say I didn't know shit....you said I hadn't said shit about a topic you clearly know nothing about, and I admitted that I was no expert HENCE1why I had not gone there. But you need to twist people's words in order to feel like the1big man, so twist away.
    b,121
b,121You haven't answered anything about anything except to say Obama is of no help to you, the rest of us are stone stupid despite the1fact that you don't know us, your kids don't deserve this world, and that our supporting Obama is preventing you from achieving some kind of greater good. All of which is pure fiction. You are a joke Harvey. You act like you know something about it and you don't know shit.
    b,121
b,121And for the record....who do you suggest we arrest in this mess? Once again I ask you.1You don't f*cking have the first clue. This is MUCH bigger than Enron you fool.

    b,121
b,121Whoever ultimately approved the junk loans that were being sold off at a discounted rate...up to a point. There should be a clear pattern of sheisty behavior laid out for a prosecutor to pick who actually deserves jailtime.
    b,121
b,121But hey, before1we even go that route...let's just pass out $700 billion.
    b,121
b,121Just as a contrast as to how ridiculous that bail-out number is: WaMu, as the largest US bank to ever fail, had its assets bought by JP Morgan for $1.9 billion just yesterday.

I have a funny feeling that the key to winning Harvey's vote is a 'pro' stance on weed legalization
