I was a HUGE Ninja Tune fan a few years back. I think the album that really got me into that label and that sound was the Herbaliser's 'Blow Your headphones' LP. Aftre that I quickly discovered that a lot of the label's output was up my alley.

font class="post"1 b,121b,121What Kala said. I highly recommend this 1994 comp which starts out with the Out, Bustle, and Out banger with the sampled Pygmies music. Also features Dj Food, 9 Lazy 9 among others.b,121 img src="http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/414D1PPPF4L._SL500_AA240_.jpg"1

font class="post"1b,121b,121Hah! I was just thinking about this track the other day. i'm pretty sure the track was by coldcut and it was called zodiac or gemini.. has that break with the ride cymbal instead of the hi-hat and has a female voice naming off the zodiac signs. it was the best cut on that cd and it always stuck out in my mind. i'm having no luck finding it and i would love to hear it again b,121b,121h,121font class="post"1b,121b,121b,121YES!!!!b,121thats itb,121in fact it sounded like a 70s funk tune and not a modern electronica/hip hop jointb,121i need to hear this again

If it's the one I think you're talking about we're going way back to 1993 though I think that was a male voice? I've probably got a rip of my CD of it somewhere or other - give me a minute and I'll try and find it (one of those times I'm grateful for bothering to set up VPN to my home computer from work).b,121b,121Edit: nvm, beaten to the punch, found it anyway - it was on Philosophy.
