Grew up listening to Bach, Beethoven, Brahms, Doors, Santana, Beatles, Coltrane, Monk, and Davis. His 78??? copies of Josh White and love of electric blues from Chicago (his home town) also shaped my musical taste.b,121b,121Current music collection: primarily high grade MP3s (mostly purchased or converted from collection).b,121b,121Book Learning: BS in History (specialized in Medieval Islamic History). The shield design was the arms I was going to use before I dropped out. Some of my faves: KRSOne, De La Soul, Black Star, Mos Def, Tribe Called Quest, and the Beastie Boys. Big fan of the native tongues obviously. When I was young my friend Doug turned me on to the Sugarhill Gang but at that time I had no clue what I was listening to.
