My friends just put out a new book, Ulysses Guide to the LA River, that chronicles the art, graffiti, history and even ecosystem of the LA River. I've seen an advance of it and it is incredible--filled with work from tons of great writers (CHAZ) and amazing tattoo artists (like the guys from Jack Rudy's Tattooland). b,121b,121img src="http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/kk251/uglarbook/uglar_Flyr_3b.jpg"1b,121b,121There are also a few release parties in LA (with more to come in SF and Japan) where there will be DJs, so yeah, "record-related":b,121b,121img src="http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/kk251/uglarbook/uglar_Flyr_back3a-1.jpg"1b,121b,121For more info or to buy the book, check out www.uglarbook.com./a1

  • hi hogg! yes, i have talked with evan. this book looks really really awesome. its not just about art, its about the biology too, which is great. the dudes that put it out are really into bugs i think. the backstory on the book is really interesting. it was actually started by an old guy that passed away and these guys finished it for him. it looks like they did a very good job!

  • The guy who is really into bugs is Chris Brand. I got tattooed by him earlier this year and he is a super cool. He also collects records!

  • nice! from what ive seen of the website, (havent seen the actual book yet), the research looks very thorough.
