Anyone else catch this on Sunday night after the Shield? I am ready to be hooked, certainly a nice change from cop dramas and the like.b,121b,121Loving Katy Segal as the Lady Macbeth-type motorcycle mama, and Ron Perlman is excellent as her aging head honcho. I highly recommend it so far, we'll see if it lives up to the promise of the first episode. Also check for that bald FBI dude from the X-Files as a meth gang kingpin! b,121b,121img src="http://www.latimes.com/media/photo/2008-09/42060434.jpg"1

  • I'm not sold on it yet, but I was feelin the first episode. I wish FX had an HD channel on my cable, but I can still watch it on demand in HD.

Just caught the pilot on hulu.com...shit looks real real good. I got high hopes for this.

  • Haha! We were just talking about this yesterday. We were at a friend's tattoo shop and he asked if we'd seen the show. He designed the club's logo and some of the tattoos on the cast member. Turns out, he's doing a full backpiece on the show's producer (whose father produced CAR WASH!), so that's his in. I guess they have some Hell's Angels on board as consultants, to boot.b,121b,121I just set a season pass for it on TiVo and will be DLing the first two episodes to catch up.

  • I saw one episode, with their stash house robbed by the Mexicans. Was that the first or second episode?b,121b,121I like it, it has potential, especially in today's TV wasteland of detritus. But, why would a 1%er club have plastic fairings on their bikes?

font class="post"1b,121b,121First one. It's pretty good. I'm not blown away by it, but it's better than most stuff. And it's available on-demand, so I'm sure I'll be catching up with it on those days when my Netflix are turning around.

I like the first two episodes. The problem is I can't remember what damn night it's on! Too busy right now with work starting up again.

font class="post"1b,121b,121They definitely do in fact there's at least one cast in the show. I know one of them, albeit not that well (sometime more of an advantage).

  • 1%ers wear helmets in California, but they're usually just the little brain buckets (you won't find DOT stickers on them). There's a helmet law here and not wearing one is probable cause for getting pulled over. If you already have a warrant (or are wearing club colors), that's the last thing you need.b,121b,121And lots of HAs have bikes with small fairings--it ain't 1958 anymore and dudes aren't all on bobbers. The wide black front fairing seems to be especially popular in the Bay.b,121b,121This is a small fairing on an East Bay HA's bike:b,121img src="http://farm1.static.flickr.com/201/511210377_bed2ed6b4b.jpg"1b,121b,121Speaking of, the West Coast President, Papa Frisco, was shot and killed in SF last week, allegedly by a Mongol. His funeral is today and 1000+ riders are expected in Daly City. Could get interesting.

font class="post"1b,121b,121Just watched the second one last night. Couple of great WTF moments, and even I can't quite believe I am watching a TV show, way beyond most people's polite sensibilities. b,121b,1212 for 2 so far.

font class="post"1b,121b,121that's right...even though I lived in LA for 6 years I always forget there's a helmet law there. I grew up in NM where all that's required is eye protection so all you see is Bandidos with sunglasses out here.
