font class="post"1b,121b,121 b,121I have found NYC folks to be very helpful in all kinds of situations. b,121A few yrs ago I was using an indoor bank machine in Gramercy Park where the floor had been used as a puke bucket. I was in such a rush to get the hell out of there, I left without my card. The person behind me chased me for a full block and caught me at a red light to return it!b,121b,121Everyone warned me that Paris is supercrusty, but I got around without totally getting lost thanks to all kinds of kind and patient people. Actually saw an altercation in the metro there between two guys, one of whom who may or may not have pick-pocketed the other. No one got involved in that, but it was a fair match with just some chasing and grabbing and something between the two of them. It really wasn't a clear case of one guy overpowering/attacking/endangering another.b,121b,121Yea, it's easier to say help when you're not there and all that, but it takes one person to get help. Like said above, you don't have to jump in and start throwing punches. If it were you or someone you loved, would you not hope/want people to care enough to to do something? If no one does anything ever, it becomes the norm and then we're all f*cked.

font class="post"1b,121b,121Yeah, just a bunch of dead people. Both those fools would be dead right now; there'd be no hammering, what kind of a story would that make. "Two men shot dead today;" BORING. b,121b,121Maybe dude was some crazy animal activist - said the beatdown receiver was an animal lab tech. Only one thing happens to animals in a lab ...b,121b,121Maybe it's some karma shit, who knows, maybe he assisted in a rabbit being beatdown with a hammer that day; you know, to track it's brain functions while having the shit beat out of them so we can further understand, blah, blah, blah.

Does anyone know what line this happened on? It looks like Broad Street? It's awful. But I know it happens everywhere you just rarely see it so real and raw like that, but the Canadian bus incident proves its randomness. Too bad to hear Cosmo say fusk Philly. It is an incredible city but it does not suffer fools gladly. But it could happen anywhere it seems. So watch your back, and your wack backpack.

Yeah it's the Broad Street Line, around Spring Garden I think.b,121b,121And yeah, I love Philly with all my heart. It will always be my home, and it's a wonderful place, but I feel that I've earned the right to say "Fusk Philly." Now if I were to hear anyone else who didn't earn their stripes say that, it would be game on.b,121b,121But yeah, from what I've been told it was completely random, and they interviewed the kid on the news and he said his attacker was chanting the entire time and kept on saying "Allah" over and over. Bugged out as hell.

What really upped the craziness ante in that whole crazy scenario was that dude had his kid with him.b,121"Son go sit over there daddy has to go kill this sleeping man with a hammer."b,121And then the dude gets off the train during the attack, where the hell did his kid go?b,121Wow, just wow.

An arrest could happen later tonight or by morning. They're waiting on a warrant to clear right now.

font class="post"1b,121b,121I can just picture Muslims asking themselves why they seem to get all the nutjobs at the moment.b,121b,121But what would Sarah Palin do?b,121b,121I think I'd probably be shook, either watch open-mouthed or run like hell... but can also say from experience that should an incident involve a loved one, I'm pretty sure that you act without thinking. My girlfriend decided to intervene when she saw a large dreadlocked junkie beating up a beggar demanding he hand over his stash; was pulling his hair and punching him in the head. My girlfriend starts screaming at him to stop it, Mr Dreads turns around and looks at my girlfriend with some serious bugged-out eyes, and before I had time to say "oh shit" I'd jumped the guy, grabbed him from behind in a bear-hug and just held on while he struggled and turned his head as far round as he could to shout "what the **** are you doing?", while my girlfriend asked him more or less the same question. I didn't know why I did it, and could only think that he reminded me of Peter Tosh. I put my girl's safety ahead of my own and the junkie's freedom to punch people. A good crowd gathered to watch this, mobiles were out and the police were called. A 7 foot tall bouncer from outside a club finally came over and put himself between Mr Dreads and daylight, and me and my girlfriend got the hell away.

font class="post"1b,121b,121That looks about right. That was my stop when I lived on Green Street.

  • they apprehended the subway attacker a few days ago. turns out he's a paranoid schizophrenic who was not taking his meds. b,121b,121a href="http://www.myfoxphilly.com/myfox/pages/News/Detail?contentId=7404646&version=4&locale=EN-US&layoutCode=TSTY&pageId=3.2.1" target="_blank"1http://www.myfoxphilly.com/myfox/pages/N...TY&pageId=3.2.1
