What's up with 2nd Power?
Random Rap record out of Marietta, Georgia circa 1991 on Wrap Records. It varies in style from track to track. I've never been that great and describing records so I recorded quick mp3 skipping the needle from track to track for you to listen to. This copy looked like it was unplayed so I couldn't pass it up for a dollar.
earlier posts made me jealous that people were finding some good 45s, since theres never any in town and i LOVE the things. today though, i got lucky as my favorite thrift store in town got in about 150 45s for me to look through. i bought 16 of them, most were chances, but these were the best of the lot:

Didn't know Spaghetti Head had an Australian press either, but there was a bunch of good funk/soul stuff that got Australian presses but never seem to turn up.
and my favorite, which i ALMOST didnt buy for some reason!:
Buddy Lamp - I Wanna Go Home / You've Got the Loving Touch (Wheelsville USA)

Usually picking up anything on Wheelsville is a good call, that Buddy Lamp is cool, good artist, good tracks, good label, not a 45 that pops up everyday.
^^ the bernard upshaw singers is terribly recorded but i like a couple tracks, gritty gospel. mel dancy is sorta foofy jazz imo but several songs have real nice intros and such. stone country is not country, its definitely stone though. ^^ok so this al green is on London and i think is a repackaging of a Hi record. its dated 1978. Pollen is french prog, i dont like the singers voice much but its quality music. that milt jackson is another sleepy jazz record with some smokin intro parts. ^^ the billie joe at top center reminds me of richie havens but better. a step towards t.callier maybe? ^^ i am excited to find an original chocolate milk s/t, its taken forever. ^^ i have no idea why i bought this crap.

hardly had any money on me and spent most of that on the GRAHAM BOND - Brig played it me down the Bell a while a go and i love the track "the naz" - what an organ sound!!
the rest were 3 for a tenner so couldnt leave them. the most interesting is TAYLES - "who are these guys" ... private (?) flute heavy jazzy pop rock with breakzzz and everything. only bought it cos of the fun cover and am very pleased... my most fun blind buy for ages.
absolutely loving the Jazzman "spiritual jazz" comp - especially the track MOR THIAM - "ayo ayo nene" - amazing!!
the 7 is: THE NILSMEN - "sandstep" (ace organ groover from sweden (again - ?) with lovely drums)

It's weird but I've seen that 45 a few times (bought it the first time) & they have all been white labels, never blue.
People have been killing it with the 45 finds this week, some of my fave listens have been posted, great stuff.

Found an Australian pressing of this 45 that I didn't know about
This is an odd Germn single. The other side is cheesy pop, but this cut is piano-led funkiness
And this rare 4-track EP of early Alan Lee material is pretty sweet - never seen swaggie label 45s before either.
