Actually going back the past couple of weeks, finally got around totaking snapshots of stuff tonight while watching the NHL playoffs.Been buying a TON of 45's. These are from local shops, eBay, record shows:Lots of great stuff there, having the Millenium drums on 45 rules!Gotta give a shout to the Bobby Rush, too. That is one fine 45.On the Long Player tip:The Tim Maia was my best Goodwill find of late, nice clean copy.Shout out to NevilleC of Som Records in D.C. for the Nico, and also ashout to Strutter calisoulbrother for the Brothers Unlimited, whichhas pretty rough vinyl but plays well and was a crazy bargain. Check thecalisoulbrother.com website for more heat like this.Alright, now show me yours.

Valorie Keys "Listen Here" great cover of the Eddie Harris anthem
London Fogg "Trippin'/Easy Mover" both sides are great
Zappatta Schmidt "Someone In The Crowd" drums, horn-rock on President
some great tracks amongst that lot, rad. ... i love that Flamengo group record - "big chain" is a monster!!
what's the Framus Five like- a one tracker?
Yep, same flip on this one. Both sides are burners.
Camera? Just a Canon Powershot, I've had it for a few years now.
Shoot them without a flash, under my ceiling lamp, then I just resize
them all to the same height and let photoshop do their "auto adjustment"
for each one.
Yeah for me its one tracker.
It has one great cover which was also on "beatline of today"
Here is the video:
Record show, cheap. Awesome 45 dealer who makes fistfuls of cash
at each show, with grippers jostling for his boxes. His main area
is 50's/early 60's doo wop/R&B/pop stuff ... I used to be able to
get any soul he had for pennies, but he's more hip to it price-wise
and more soul grippers have been coming - but all that 60's rock/popsike
stuff is pretty much mine to be had, and usually for $3-$5 each.
I think it's awesome that they put "Prelude" on 45, with the crazy break
and all ... and it's only, what, 1:15 long? It would be a great one to have
doubles of, if that was your style. I may flip it eventually, since I have
the LP, but for now the novelty of having that track on 45 is good enough.
Fuckin stoked.
(Headhunters is a Hungarian pressing on really heavy wax)
The Julian B. Coco is Dutch (Curacao,Dutch Antillies) bossa goodness.
How did u like that Loading Zone... that was a SCORE!
some libraries
and
Fuckin great. You called it on the good tracks as well.
Yeah, that little stash from this week: damn, you should have seen the prices... make ya giggle.
I picked up your pack at
(Gotta love the Dutch flag window display for Queens day.)
Good shit man, i have been playing them at work to piss the girls off. that new jack set is ill.
Oh, and look what else they have:
The two Jorge Ben's are pretty much mint, and the rest aren't bad either. The guy who brought them in lived in Rio in the early 60's.
one LP, found this yesterday..been after this for awhile as my copy got stolen four years ago..my fave Mingus:
45s(bitin' SOI presentation style)
What's "Soul Butter" like? Looks like it would be
an instro, but the label claims it's a vocal?
