Advise on getting money back through paypal?

So, a month ago I bought my partner a membership to the American Cetacean Society for her birthday. I paid with credit card through paypal on their site--not out of my paypal account. The whale-loving bastards have not sent and email verification, no post materials, and they don't answer or return calls. How do I go about reporting these boners to paypal and getting my funds back? Am I screwed with a whale dick? Thanks strutters.
