As I posted about in the weekend finds thread, I found the album "At The Drive-In" by Freddy Robinson. It has a track called "I Found My Soul Last Night" and I swear to god somebody sampled the intro, but for the life of me I can't remember who. Names like Prince Paul and The Automator come to mind but nothing definitive. Can anybody listen to A HREF="http://home.insightbb.com/~mcardle.j/robinson.mp3"> THIS MP3/A> and tell me who used it? It's driving me nuts.

I used it. Never did anything with it though.
And I don't remember hearing anybody using it, though I'm willing to bet it has been.
I made a slight error... The name of the song is "It's The Real Thing". I was looking at the song titles on the back album cover and just to totally fuck me up they have Side 1 tracks listed on the right and Side 2 tracks listed on the left. Silly me, I always read from left to right.
Anyhow... As far as the whole mp3, A HREF="http://s37.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=3DK8JVBAYKZLP1GH6A16X5UAR1"> your wish is my command./A> Enjoy.
Thanks!

Ahhh yeah, thanks. No wonder it was so familiar, I own that Atmosphere album. My brain somehow knew it was the first track on an album but what album wasn't coming to me.
thanks for the OG id!
