whats the deal with this label, anybody have any info on it? all i have is Natural Life - Unamed Land which im listening to for the first time in years. not bad...

ASI Records was a label based on West Broadway on Minneapolis' north side. I know Natural Life's S/T and the first Haze LP were on ASI as well. I've seen some random other things on the label, folk & SSW related, if I recall.

Can't really help you with anything more concrete than that.

it was a local minneapolis recording studio and record label, the only thing i like on there is the haze lp/45's, the cain lp's are on that label as well though i've never heard those, otherwise they released a few natural life lp's, a few shitty rock lp's and 45's and a gospel christmas play album by the sounds of blackness, by the way the if you like those natural life lp's check out that robert rockwell lp titled androids on the celebration label, he was a part of natural life though his lp is way better, the artwork is badass too, i really like those penciled drawings on all those lps

the artist is natural life's drummer bill berg, he's known for being one of the musicians who played on bob dylan's album blood on the tracks, his drawings are pretty cool, i'd definatly like to see more
