One of my favorite places to visit. Your pictures really capture what I like about Amsterdam. It is a really human city. It has all this really grand art and architecture, but it still has a human frailty. It looks well lived in.

haha, yeah, that one was taken a few years back when i first got photoshop: i selected the sky, boosted the contrast and thought i was a badass.

you can see the light on the roofs of houses on the left is too bright.

i stopped with all that photoshop malarkey, now i just shoot dark and adjust the light.

ok, it is fake in a sense. I thought the buildings had a "cut edge" and looked like they were sort of placed there. Cool picture still.

Its a fav of mine as well. I took it on Queens day last year, his front window was full of all these newspaper/magazine clippings and he was just chilling.

I like these almost as much (hell maybe more, on the right day) than your writing - which is saying a lot as I really like the way you write. I've got freinds around europe (mostly Scandinavian) that I keep promising to visit, so maybe one day i'll get over and you can show me the city.
