Ok.... whats the baltimore club drum formula? What did drum and bass start with? Was the Amen break tied into DNB or was it more jungle?Any other genre's tied into certain breaks?

    Sing-sing (UBB staple) for Bmore.

Drum and Bass evolved from rave music... hard house got harder and harder, and DJs like Fabio & Grooverider started changing the rhythms, and the crowd response pushed them into further experimentation with chopped BREAKZ. The Amen was one of the cornerstones of Jungle - nothing done in DnB wasn't already done in jungle as far as I've heard... and they're really one and the same thing. Other staple jungle breaks include Apache, Ramsey Lewis cover of Back In The USSR, funky mule... but obviously the Amen is Samuel L Jackson's BAD MUTHER FUCKER.

There's some good books on this subject.

throw sing-sing over any song, and you're a hit with the in-crowd! you'll be doing sets at bars like you've been dj'ing for years!

    try it!
