Has anyone seen Toots & The Maytals lately?

Got a chance to see them next week and I'm wondering how the band has held up over the years.

    I saw them in 2004. It was a lot of fun, but it was basically Toots + studio musicians.

    Saw them in New York last year in a small venue. Have to say it was a good show. If I would go again (although tix were 40.00)

    I don't know, but this video gives me goosebumps.



    Generally speaking though, I always walk away from nostalgia acts a bit disappointed.

    I don't know how may OG's members are in the band, but it's still a great show. They were on SNL about 3 years ago and just blew the place away.

    I saw them a bunch of times over the late 90s/early 2000's, and dude put on a great show every time, especially when I saw him at Wetlands, circa maybe '98. If you've never seen him, I'd say definitely check it, although I can't say if he's slowed down in the 5 years since I last saw him.....
