Neil...I had "Neil's Book of the Dead" when i was in high school..funny shit. How many ride for Bad News?
I love this line from it (from Vim Fuego, played by Adrian Edmonson):
"I learned to play "Stairway to heaven" when I was 12 years old, Jimmy Page didnt write it until he was 22, I think that says a lot" and this one: "We'd be just as popular as the Rolling Stones if we sold as many records as them"
I co-sign pkny's entire post. I was just about to big up Alexei Sayle.
yo got that record of his "did you kill my brother' or something like that. and hes got another one about toasters.... some funny shit...cheap electro beats with him talking cockney shit.. killer....!
neil was in an ad recently in Ozland...for motor engine oils.... hehehe
It's been a terrible blow to my life looking like Mussolini, you know. Especially when I was a kid, you know, I was about seven, right, and I was down the Youth Club, you know, dancing away, right, like in the 'sixties, doing the Twist, you know. And, em, there was this girl, right, and she comes up to me, and she goes,
"'Ere! Are you Mussolini?"
I said, "Emmm...Yeah."
She says, "I thought you was dead."
I says, "No, it was just me day off, you know."
So she pulled me over the dance floor and butted me in the face!
"What do you think you're doing, Pig? Do you really give a fig, Pig? And what's your favourite type of gig, Pig? Barry Manilow? Or the Black and White Minstrel Show?"

Pollution.
all around sometimes up sometimes down But always around
Pollution are you coming to my town or am I coming to yours?
We're on different buses, pollution but we're both using petrol BOMBS
And how could i have forgotten Jerzey Balowski and co?
"Pathetic. You'll never win. There's only 9 words."
Etc etc etc etc.
Also, there's a piece of music i've always wanted to know from the series. It's in the episode where they have the house party. Vyvyan's on the phone telling us that the pub's just closed. Then a bunch of people crash through the door. One of them is carrying a boombox on their shoulder and its playing some rock/pysch song and i've always wanted to know that it is.
Man, tuff choice. I almost have to say Rik, but they all just worked as a group so really all 3. Just one of them wouldn't have been funny. And yes, Mike was worthless, but necessary.
Rik: Oh what's this in your purse. It's a little mouse!
All the music was great.
Motorhead and the Dammed were always my favorite. Rip Vig (SP?) and Panic were cool as well.
Dude I remember seeing like 2 episodes of this as a kid and thinking it was the coolest / funniest thing ever. I think they used to run it late night on MTV.

Yeah, sorta late on Sunday nights. It would be Monty Python's Flying Circus and then an episode of Young Ones. This had to be like, '89 or '90 so I was pretty young, but I knew it was the shit.

It's a close tie between Viv and Neil. I haven't seen that shit in a minute, but they both had gems. is it on Netflix? I need to get back on that.

On the YO tip, what's your favorite musical performance? Gotta roll with Motorhead doing "Ace of Spades":
MADNESS!
Which one? They were on twice.
The one in the pub.

In my own personal life I'm making the transition from Vivian to Neal.
