Wow, just wow (looking for help related)

I posted a help wanted ad on Craigslist and the response is astounding. People sending in emails with no punctuations, no cover letters, bad spelling, not reading our ad, putting their resume in the body of the email when I ask for an attachment. Maybe Craigslist isn't the way to find good help. I just want a competent part-time office assistant with some experience. This is extremely disheartening. Any advice on where to look? Anyone know if UC Berkeley has some type of work experience department I could hit up?

if it's a serious job offer, don't put it on Craig's... use something like hotjobs, or whatever.

Craigslist is pretty worthless for job postings. You might get a couple qualified folks, but as you've found, you'll have to sift through a bunch of garbage. In the Bay Area, I'd recommend using http://www.kitlist.org/ . It's mostly tech industry jobs, but there are quite a few non-technical, office-type jobs on there as well, and it's pretty cheap.
