external hard drive dies - HELP!

can anyone suggest a place that will cost between 500-750 to recover? the local guy has already tried and failed and suggested sending it to a "clean room" place.I NEED HELP - I CAN'T DO IT ALONE.

    there was a hard drive woes thread a week or two ago. search for that- i think there were some recovery places recommended in there.

    They charge more than your proposed budgets, and don't guarantee anything. Luckily, they usually won't charge you if they don't pull any data. But if they pull ANYTHING, they charge the full amount.

    What kind of drive is it? Maybe bring it with you to ATL and if you can leave it for a few days I can see what I can do with it. I've got some tricks up my sleeve.
