I know this is a weird question for the strut, but i figure some of you guys will know this stuff.I just downloaded a movie from...ahem... a legitimate site, and I'm having trouble with the file type. It's something like MP4 - does that sound right? Is there an easy way to convert it to an AVI that i can easily work with?Thanks in advance peoples.

I would suggest that you download the VLC media player.

OK... i should clarrify - I want to be able to burn it to DVD, preferably as an AVI file so i can play it on my DVD player.

But thanks for that, I'll d/l that player if i can't convert the file easily.

either vlc, or add perian to yr quicktime.

yes there are tons of video converting programs thatll do it. i like total video converter, itll do anything.
