I haven't used ebay for two and a half years, stopped hitting the record fairs and tried to limit my spending... reason being I finished Univ and moved house 6 times in that period. I'm now in a stable job, but the house thing is still very much in the balance (month-by-month let agreement). Once I've got accomodation sorted long-term, I'll be back on track. As a result, I can only think of 2 decent come-ups for 2007 right now:

Trifle - First Meeting (approx ??20 quid before p+p)

    and

    Broth - s/t (less!)

There were a few 45s, but I'd need to look at 'em to remember which were '07 digs.

EDIT: Little Rose & Company "Jammin' To The Bone" was a goody

found lots of records, but probably happiest about filling out my weldon irvine collection with Time Capsule, Liberated Brother, In Harmony, Sinbad, and Spirit Man. Oh, the Stark Reality I found was a highlight as well.

Can somebody define "found"? Isn't there a huge difference between "finding" a $200 copy of Stark Reality vs. "finding" a copy of Stark Reality at a thrift shot?

That Atlas record is a turd and I stand by that. 1-tracker at the best.

"Found" (in relation to this thread) - anything that came in your possession between January 1 and December 31 of 2007, no matter what the cost

(okay, I didn't start the thread, but that's what the meaning SHOULD be, so if I'm wrong, DJ Sheep, please forgive me!...wait till tonight when I'm home, that's when I'll post mine)

There's 2 tracks I like off that Atlas... it's only RAER for completists of the label (at least thats what GROPE told me, cheers grope!)....

records you bought, found, stole (ahem), whatever.. doesn't matter how u got it, just what you got...

    peace.

Along the same lines is buying on eBay "finding" records? I don't think so really. Unless maybe the listing was misspelled and you "found" it by searching using misspelled names.

Family and the increasing demands of my day job, kept a strutter from digging in 2007.

BUT, I did pass by my local flea over the summer and found this cool record called Stark Reality for 2 bucks.

    I hear you big time!

I would say my best finds came while on vacation, really the only time I had to dig:

    George Guzman "En Linea"
Eddie Hernandez "All We Need is Love"
Kent Gomez, Ricardo Ray, and Willie Rodriguez "Duelo Musical"
Ricardo Ray and Bobby Cruz "Los Differentes"
    Joanne Garrett "Just a Taste"
William Bell "Soul of a Bell" (thanks again R*b!)

I would say that's the best of the best, wish I would've found more rock or soul records (actually money to pay for them because they were avaiable).
Damn I need to get out more in '08!
