Drum ID Help (Stick drum Jun-Jun NRR)

When I was traveling in Guatemala I met this troop of Mexican drummers, a couple of them had these drums that were very similar to a Jun-Jun but were of Mexican origin. Smaller than a Jun-Jun with a sound port hole on the side and a steel metal bar on top for cowbell effect.Anyone know what this type of drum is called?Thanks for your help.Jaysus
