    I'm jealous. My girl and I were trying wrangle Thanksgiving dinner duty and make one of those, but we couldn't take control. It's at somebody else's house. So it will probably be instant mashed potatoes, microwaved vegetables and so on.

    Not to hate or take sides, but there are times when...

    tamales > crown roast

    Do you make your masa at home, or do you buy from the local Mexican (assuming you're in the US) grocery? I've seen signs to pre-order masa at a few local spots. From what I hear, it's a bit of trouble to make.
