Does FF stand for Fat Fish?

  • File Name: unknown composer - unknown song title nas - nas is like.mp3

Need the name..the audio sample is all over the net(shortened down to a 6 or 7 second clip).

  • the clip is from the dj riz - live in brooklyn two ( i think that's the name) anyways.. Preem sent riz the short mp3 to use, with no name or title.)

  • Damn..so this really is this mysterious, then..huh?

I figured the Strut would be all over this in no time.

I don't think you get it, apparently nobody knows this except Primo.

This is just one of those random ass samples that only a true classical head would know or something....so hit up the classical section and play the clip off your phone for some old headz

    good luck

  • oh... i forgot. One thing I do know that i'm sure of.

    It's a 78 RPM.

People want to know the source just to know, right? I kinda lost track of the logic behind sample spotting.

  • there is no logic to art, take one puff and you'll understand

    Sample spotting is an art?

    Isn't it more like tourism?

Like going to the south of France to find
the OG structure in Arles that Van Gogh used
    when painting The Yellow House?

In this case, dude is acting more like "I know it and you don't..but I will give you $100 if you can tell me"...which i'm not buying now that I see no one knows this shit.

I'm pretty sure the OG sample is from the version of "Mardi Gras" without the bells.

Right, and now everyone is going to think "oh, why is it that it sounds like a 70's recording?" but then I realize, none of these people are J*hn B**k.

Watch it be something like the soundtrack to On Golden Pond[/b]. I'm more interested in the sample Premier used for Pushim's "Set Me Free", that one has been bugging me for years.

That is not what he meant.. most people here who are into the breaks/sample spotting know that break very well..

the guitar / stringed instrument (main sample) is what is in question.

What Shook Ones sample??? I guess you're not talking about the Quincy Jones one but the main sample. I tought it as admitted that Ron Grainer was the souce of that infamous plucked guitar...But it's been so long. I'm so

On another note, i have the cover of the 45 used for "Nas is like"...Yea babee...Im gonna post it soon.

exactly champ...maybe you should be more specific with your questions... or less arrogant with your responses...... :-)
