If you don't want to spend a hundred or more bucks on a commerical editor and also don't want to get into the pirate game, wavosaur might be a good alternative.It looks very much like a older soundforge version and seems to have all the same features (just a few keyboard shortcuts are missing, but that might be done with the next update) and many more, so there is anything you might ever need.And the whole application is under 500 KB !!!
