East Coast Pop Lock??? (Record Related)

OK, I know and love Ronnie Hudson-West Coast Poplock. That used to be the popping cut back in the day. Anyway, someone recently just asked me about the song "East Coast Pop Lock". They said they heard a DJ play it (on Microwave) and when they asked about the the DJ said that "East Coast Pop Lock" was the original version. I never heard of it; who, when, where??? Anyone know?He said it represented heavily for Baltimore....

I guess my next question would be, is it on it's own 12"? It's not on the regular "West Coast..." single right. I don't own it now but have owned it before and I don't remember that being on there...
