Santiago De Chile / Valparaiso

I'm flying down to Buenos Aires in a week and a half and taking a trip from there to Chile. I have a local host in B.A., but neither of us has ever been to Chile.Any special tips or recommendations for things to see in the cities or nearby? We're going to have 3 or 4 days there. I don't know much yet, but I do know especially Santiago looks beautiful in all of the photos I've seen.I doubt there will be time for digging, but you never know.

    I found quite a few decent records in Santiago last time I was there.



    Make sure you have a Churrasco Sandwhich and a Pesco Sour!

    Check the Giant modern art museum
    Go to a Boca Jr soccer game if you can get tix.
    If you like shopping for threads visit Florida St.
    And if you're single meet some of the most beautiful ladies you've ever seen.

    I'll definitely be going to see a game, but seems like it'll be River Plate...

    My drummer is Chilean and just came back from spending a month out there. I'll ask him for you. Off the top of my head.

    Pablo Neruda's house on the beach on Isla negra. He said it's a beachside house/museum with like old ships surrounding it.
