    most "world" music...i can usually tell that there's something there, but its not where i wanna hear it all day every damn day

    most indie rock, with few exceptions....i can't get down with most jazz pre-67', with some exceptions as well, some mingus, coltrane, davis...but any before the early 60s i can't really feel. most of it sounds formulated and mechanical. i've noticed that it's been difficult to get into a lot of contemporary downtempo, instrumental music, stuff i was listening to a lot a couple of years ago. this is considering most of the music i listen to is made in the 70s, so im use to the warm sound of records recorded at that time, in all genres, jazz, psych, prog, experimental, ect.
