I know this is going down in November but do anyof you know the dates? Also, is it even worth going(Being that there's like 5 really good record shops in NYC)?Plaese to educate me.

    It's definitely worth going. Come for the records, stay for the shops, leave with a hangover from my private affaire at the schoppe.

    I can't believe it's that time of year again already. WFMU weekend has become a big time ritual NY trip for me, looking forward to it. Mike, it'll well worth your while. Let's get it in!

    yeah i asked this question last year and was blown away when i went. wfmu is like having 30 dope ass record stores all in one place, maybe more. i can't wait.

    And, actually, I was once accused by my then-boss of using his landscaping truck to impress women. He refused to believe that I had added 100 extra miles to the odometer by getting lost; "Naw, naw, you took it down there to show some girl, didn't you?"

    I don't think he had much of a handle on what type of girls I was into.

    i'll be there (wfmu show) on saturday, at least for a minute - it's my girl's bday though (dinner suggestions always welcome) so i don't know how long i'll be staying there. i think i'm also going to bring a few records to sell to help offset the cost of the trip.

    so far, i've lined up an appt at the Nike iD store for friday afternoon, plan to play some ping-pong while drinking, and hit up difara's (i'll be staying in brooklyn and queens). what else am i missing?

    really wish I could be there.
    I still remember the first time I went when I was still living in NY 10 years ago and ended up spending every single dollar in my pocket. When buying the last record, I was a few dollars short so I gave the seller all my subway tokens completely emptying my pockets. I had to walk home and we lived on the Bergen street stop in Brooklyn...
