I slept on this one for a minute but this album is great. Exile really laced some dope beats and Blu has them blue collar every day lyrics I can relate too...Refreshing to hear a soild album come out like this in these times...

yup. this is just a good album start to finish.

  • Yeah, it's really good. Despite some lazy lyrics here and there, this is easily one of the best debuts in recent years.

  • major co-sign. it's definetly a real good album, real hard to do with indie-rap.

My pick of the album is "Good Life" and "In the rain".

Blu and Ex also did an E.P., cd-r slime case style, a year or two ago that's also a real solid listen.

i got a few simple beefs with it.

as you said. sometimes the lyrics are lazy. and sometimes the beats get monotonous.

but that is ONLY because the album is wayyyy tooo long.

i love it despite its length.

if the shit was shorter it would of beeen stronger.

other than that...i like every aspect of it and such.

I still need to cop this, Exile is one of the few producers these days that I really think has a consistent output and sound.

  • His solo album from earlier this year had some joints on it as well.
