producer/musician-strut: hardware or software?

Who uses strictly hardware/software or a combo of the two? I use both. Use an mpc, roland sp606, ableton 6, and reason 4 with assorted plugins.

    I only use my MAC but I'm about to buy an ANALOG synth

    I use a combo myself. Ableton Live 4 (really need to upgrade) and an SP-12.

    A little of each....software and this little M Audio keyboard.
