Need Some Advice / Funk Release Question

Got a call today from a friend who just secured the master tapes of every live show that a local radio station promoted during the 70's.There are a lot of local Texas bands and these are top notch quality tapes. The hope is that there may be a release or two for my label and a lot of stuff for the newly opened Texas Music Museum. There is a live tape of a local Texas funk band who has an LP that sells for $300+.Having not heard it yet I don't know if there is non-LP material nor if this was from before or after their LP.I guess my question is whether or not there is interest in "live" material within the Funk collectors world??

Stones Throw's funk reish imprint put this out a few years back:

I have no idea how well it sold but there is a precedent anyway...

Sounds like an amazing find. Texas particularly, great bands.

I love this release. I think it sounds like a worthy endeavor, but maybe not lucrative. I would buy it if it was good music. Good luck.
