  • Norman cook/fatboy slim has to be up there - he brought a hip hop cut & paste aesthetic to what had become an impersonal techy scene. Reignited house music in alot of ways by mixing it with the hip hop & the Chemy's big beat sound.

    Am i wrong to say that "Beats international" was long before Big Beat and hardcore Jungle ?


    For Jungle i would say DJ Hype not because of any special ability but just for style at that time ... but this may be limited to my area here - don??t know much about the early UK itself ...

  • I don't know man. Stretch, yeah sure. Bob was a great host/personality... I never thought Bob was a great DJ (although he's improved a lot).
